Thermometers to exceed 35ºC
Temperatures are rising across Portugal today, with nine districts under a yellow weather warning for heat. Additionally, wildfire risk is classified as maximum in some municipalities and very high across much of the mainland territory.
Why it mattersIf you are in one of the affected districts or areas with high wildfire risk, take precautions against the heat and avoid activities that could ignite fires, such as using machinery or lighting fires in forest areas.
