New housing protests and marches planned in Lisbon and Porto this Saturday

The Assembleia Popular voted to hold new housing crisis protests in Lisbon and Porto on Saturday, 24 October. In Lisbon, the march starts at 15:00 at the Marquês de Pombal roundabout and heads to Praça D. Pedro IV (Rossio), where protesters plan to resume camping tonight, 21 October, despite police warnings that tents set up before midnight will be removed. Additionally, a vigil is scheduled outside the Campus de Justiça at 10:00 on 27 October for the court appearances of 55 detained protesters.
