CP has confirmed it plans to provide train services on the Évora - Elvas section as soon as the line is opened for operations. Despite this, there is criticism from the freight transport sector regarding the lack of logistics stops in the marble-producing region (Zona dos Mármores).

An analysis of 14 Portuguese airports over the year ending 22 October 2026 found that airports in the Azores recorded the highest rates of flights delayed by more than one hour, with Santa Maria reaching 10.89%. Faro, Madeira, and Porto Santo recorded the lowest rates of long delays, ranging from 3.77% to 4.18%.
