Schools to have rules for using artificial intelligence from January, pre-school left out

Guidelines for using artificial intelligence in schools entered a 30-day public consultation period on 16 October, covering primary and secondary education while excluding pre-school. The final version will be released on 4 January 2027 and will only permit AI when it assists learning without creating dependence.
