Traffic restricted in the Grilo Tunnel starting Monday due to roadworks

Roadworks on the lighting system at the Grilo Tunnel (IC17-CRIL) begin on Monday 19 October and will last for 60 days. During this period, traffic will be restricted to two lanes per gallery with a speed limit of 50 km/h, and night-time lane closures will occur between 22:00 and 06:00.

Why it matters

If you commute via the IC17-CRIL between Odivelas and Loures, expect traffic congestion and slower speeds due to lane reductions in the Grilo Tunnel for the next 60 days.

Roadworks restrict traffic on the A4 in Vila Real during the coming week

Infraestruturas de Portugal is carrying out maintenance work on the A4 motorway between Amarante and Vila Real, including the Marão Tunnel, requiring overnight road closures in both directions between 21:00 and 06:00. Traffic heading from Amarante to Vila Real is cut from Monday 19 October to Wednesday 21 October, with a diversion via the IP4 connection node at kilometer 63. Traffic in the opposite direction from Vila Real to Amarante is cut from Wednesday 21 October to Friday 23 October, with a diversion via the Campeã node at kilometer 82.

CGTP expects 'great moment of struggle' in demonstrations against the cost of living

The CGTP trade union federation has called decentralised demonstrations in Lisbon, Porto and Coimbra to protest against rising housing, fuel and grocery prices, as well as deteriorating public services.
