President promulgates flag decree after Assembly of the Republic changes

The President of the Republic has signed into law a new version of the legislation regarding the display of flags on public buildings, four months after vetoing the original proposal. The revised law specifies that displayed flags must represent international commitments assumed by the Portuguese state, occurring within the scope of official initiatives, and must not have a partisan or electoral nature.
