Porto–Oiã high-speed rail line construction works begin Monday in Aveiro
Construction on the Porto–Oiã segment of the future high-speed rail line officially begins this Monday, October 12, 2026. As part of preliminary work, the A29 motorway will face nighttime restrictions from October 12 through November 13, 2026, between 21:00 and 06:00 in segments spanning Albergaria-a-Velha, Estarreja, Ovar, Espinho, and Vila Nova de Gaia.
