Porto Mayor says souvenir shops will have rules
The Mayor of Porto, Pedro Duarte, stated he is in talks with the national government to create legislation that allows municipalities to regulate the use of commercial spaces, specifically to curb the proliferation of souvenir shops in historic centers. The proposed rules would follow the same principles as existing containment policies for Local Accommodation (AL).
