Porto: Platform to register heavy vehicles on the VCI is still in testing, but will be ready on time
The ban on heavy goods vehicles on the VCI road in Porto during weekdays (7:00 to 21:00) takes effect on Tuesday, September 15. A digital platform is being developed to register vehicles exempt from the ban, specifically those with cargo or discharge operations in Porto or Vila Nova de Gaia; however, the city mayor confirmed the platform is not legally required for the ban to begin and that existing transport documentation will suffice for enforcement if needed.
