Health 'mini-assemblies' in schools to simplify sexually transmitted diseases
The Portuguese Society of Health Literacy (SPLS) is hosting interactive sessions in secondary schools to improve student awareness of STIs, citing that nearly 30% of 2024 HIV cases involved people under 30. The sessions, part of the #semvergonha campaign, involve medical professionals leading discussions on transmission, prevention, and testing at schools in Lisbon, Peniche, Felgueiras, and Lousada throughout October and November.
