Government promises dialogue on 2027 State Budget but maintains proposal is 'good for parishes'

The government has defended its 2027 State Budget proposal for parishes, despite a planned protest by the National Association of Parishes (Anafre). Anafre has threatened to close all parish services on 4 November if their demands—including an increase in state funding from 2.5% to 3.5%, full-time status for parish presidents, and property acquisition rights—are not met during the parliamentary specialty debate.
