Government prepares new rules to expand foster care for the elderly

The government is drafting a legislative proposal to revise and expand the "Foster Care for the Elderly and Adults with Disabilities" program. The initiative aims to modernize the rules and increase the reach of this social service, which currently serves 649 people and has historically seen low uptake. The proposal is in the government's legislative circuit and must still be approved by the Council of Ministers following consultation with social partners.
