Constitutional Court decision opens the door for 9,000 workers to re-enroll in the CGA
A Constitutional Court ruling declared unconstitutional a 2024 rule that restricted the return of public servants to the Caixa Geral de Aposentações (CGA). As a result, public servants whose employment ceased after 1 January 2006 and was re-established by 27 December 2024 are now eligible to re-enroll in the pension scheme.
