Complaint to the Attorney General's Office (PGR) requests investigation into PSP director and Government

Government considers housing protests will be more effective 'within the limits of the law'

Following the weekly Council of Ministers meeting on 29 October, Minister of the Presidency António Leitão Amaro stated that the government respects peaceful protests regarding housing but urged demonstrators to remain within legal boundaries to be effective. He reaffirmed that the government does not direct police operations and reiterated that the current rent increase legislation is the responsibility of previous PS governments and needs changing.
