Funchal Captaincy recommends avoiding seaside walks

The Port of Funchal Captaincy has issued a warning to avoid walking near the sea, piers, cliffs, and beaches, and to refrain from recreational fishing, due to expected sea conditions. The warning is in effect until 18:00 on Sunday, 1 November, with waves predicted between 1.5 and 2.5 meters on the north coast and 1 to 1.5 meters on the south coast of Madeira.
