Aviation and Airport Workers' Union hopes employees will not be called upon to rescue company

The government has selected Lufthansa for the partial privatization of TAP, acquiring up to 49.9% of the capital for 1.201 billion euros, with the operation expected to conclude by early 2028. The Sitava union expressed concern that employees might again be forced to bear the burden of the company's future restructuring, criticizing the potential separation of TAP's maintenance and engineering divisions into the Lufthansa group.
