425 applications submitted for the 12-million-euro government support for Douro winegrowers

A total of 425 applications were submitted by the deadline on 12 October for the government's extraordinary income support measure for Douro winegrowers who were unable to sell their grapes this harvest. The Instituto dos Vinhos do Douro e Porto (IVDP) is now conducting administrative and technical validation of these applications to check eligibility. Final results on the number of successful applicants and total support amounts will be released only after this process and the 31 October deadline for the Declaration of Harvest and Production.
