Trains return to service on the Western Line between Torres Vedras and Caldas da Rainha on November 15

Rail service on the Western Line between Torres Vedras and Caldas da Rainha will resume on 15 November, following repairs to infrastructure damaged by storms in January. The section between Mira Sintra/Meleças and Torres Vedras remains suspended, with replacement bus services currently in operation.

Why it matters

If you commute between Torres Vedras and Caldas da Rainha, you can resume using the train on 15 November, but be aware that the rail connection south of Torres Vedras toward Mira Sintra/Meleças remains closed and continues to require a replacement bus.
