Government admits studying loop service after opening Lisbon's circular metro line

The government confirmed it will proceed with the opening of the Metro de Lisboa circular line in the first quarter of 2027 as planned, but stated it is open to studying a supplementary 'loop' service for commuters using the Yellow Line from Odivelas and Telheiras. The Secretary of State for Transport noted that while the primary circular project is moving forward without changes, the possibility of integrating an additional service model remains under consideration for the future. No timeline has been set for this study.
