TAP: Lufthansa says it received favorable signs from three Portuguese unions
Lufthansa CEO Carsten Spohr stated that three Portuguese aviation unions (SITAVA, SIPLA, and a TAP pilot representative group) have expressed openness to the proposed integration of TAP into the Lufthansa group. The airline group aims to expand its international presence to mitigate high labor and infrastructure costs in Germany, while the Portuguese government has reaffirmed that existing labor agreements and rights will be respected.
