South coast of Madeira and Porto Santo under yellow warning

The Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) has placed the south coast of Madeira and the island of Porto Santo under a yellow warning for hot weather. The alert is in effect from 09:00 on Monday, September 7, until 18:00 on Tuesday, September 8.

Why it mattersIf you are in Madeira or Porto Santo, be prepared for high temperatures, which may pose health risks during the warned period.
