Riot police operate without identification, defying IGAI recommendation

Despite a January 2024 recommendation from the General Inspectorate of Internal Administration (IGAI) requiring front-facing identification for riot police, PSP officers continue to operate without it. The Ministry of Internal Administration confirms that implementation is ongoing for the PSP, whereas the GNR has already implemented the policy for its special units; a new regulation for the PSP is currently being drafted.

Colombo shopping center requests police reinforcement following social media 'rebellion' calls

Gas leak forces evacuation of several buildings in Lisbon

A major gas leak caused by accidental damage to a pipeline during road works led to the evacuation of multiple buildings on Alameda dos Oceanos in Lisbon today, 31 October.
