Recreational bivalve fishing prohibited in the international stretch of the Minho River
Recreational harvesting of clams and other bivalves is prohibited in the international stretch of the Minho River (TIRM) starting November 1, 2026, due to public health concerns. The ban will remain in effect until a formal management plan and sanitary evaluation of the resources are approved.
