Negotiating with PSP failed to avoid second night of police charges in Rossio
In the early hours of Sunday 1 November, PSP police forces cleared a protest camp at Rossio square in Lisbon, citing laws against late-night demonstrations and the occupation of public space with tents. The intervention followed several warnings to demonstrators, resulting in physical clashes, the removal of tents, three arrests, and injuries to 19 people, three of whom were hospitalized.
