EU charges new 2-euro fee on non-EU orders starting Sunday

Starting Sunday, 1 November, the European Union is implementing a permanent 2-euro fee on goods ordered from outside the bloc. This fee is applied per product category rather than per order, and it is in addition to the 3-euro fee already applied to orders under 150 euros. The EU claims the fee should be absorbed by platforms rather than the consumer, but there is no mechanism in place to prevent companies from passing the cost on to shoppers.
