Maia municipality creates new bracket to support families
The Maia municipal executive has created an exceptional "Escalão C" support bracket for the 2026/2027 school year, targeting households currently in the 3rd bracket of the state family allowance. This new bracket provides a 25% discount on school meals, financial support for school supplies and field trips equivalent to "Escalão B" levels, and a 25% reduction in costs for the Family Support Program (CAF) covering before/after-school care and school breaks.
