The Caixa Geral de Aposentações (CGA) has identified a calculation error affecting 2,937 public sector pensions issued between May and August 2026. The government confirmed that pension amounts will be corrected downward, with an average reduction of 93.31 euros gross per month, and that recipients will be required to repay the overpaid amounts, with individual repayment plans to be arranged.
