CGA makes errors in the value of 800 pensions per year
The Minister of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security confirmed that the Caixa Geral de Aposentações (CGA) regularly corrects about 800 pensions annually. Additionally, nearly 3,000 public sector retirees recently received pension amounts higher than the calculated value between May and August 2026 due to a parameterization error, and they are now required to return the excess funds.
