Fenprof demands 'rigorous clarifications' regarding pension calculation error
A calculation error by the Caixa Geral de Aposentações (CGA) affected approximately 3,000 retirees, resulting in pension payments made between May and August 2026 being higher than legally permitted. The CGA is now seeking repayment of these amounts, and affected pensioners are facing lower monthly income than originally communicated. The Minister of Labour has confirmed that the excess payments must be returned.
