Proposal for 100% parental leave forces domestic violence victims to leave home
A new proposal agreed upon by PSD and PS aims to grant domestic violence victims who are pregnant or have newborns 100% subsidized parental leave for six months, mirroring conditions for single-parent families. To qualify, victims are explicitly required to move out of the family home during their pregnancy or leave period. The proposal is scheduled for a vote this Tuesday in the Parliamentary Committee for Labour, Social Security and Inclusion.
