Higher prices do not stop consumption: summer months see 6-cent increases in gasoline and 9-cent in diesel, but sales rose

Over the past 12 months, filling a 50-liter tank with gasoline increased in cost from 85 euros to 100 euros, an increase of 15 euros per tank. Despite the price hikes of 6 cents for gasoline and 9 cents for diesel, official data for August shows gasoline 95 consumption rose by 4.4% and diesel by 1% compared to the same month last year.
