Government and public administration unions meet again on Monday

The government and three public-sector union federations are holding their second negotiating round on next year's general salary updates at the Ministry of Finance. The existing multi-year agreement projects a 2.30% wage increase (minimum 60.52 euros) and a base salary rise to 995.51 euros in 2027, while unions are pushing for higher increases ranging from 5% to 15% alongside meal allowance hikes. The state budget proposal for 2027 estimates an additional 1.231 billion euros in personnel expenses.
