During a hearing at the Azorean Parliament, education experts discussed a proposal to allow parents to choose between free digital textbooks and physical ones for their children. The proposal, introduced by the Liberal Initiative (IL) party, aims to address concerns from parents about digital learning difficulties, though educators noted that implementing both formats could increase the burden on teachers. No decision was made as the proposal remains under discussion.
Police commander Iúri Rodrigues maintains that the use of force during housing protests at Rossio on 20 October and 25 October was a necessary and proportional response to a lack of collaboration from protesters.
