70,000 students return to classes without full teaching staff
Around 70,000 students have started the school year without having a full complement of teachers, with approximately 2,000 teaching vacancies still unfilled. The Minister of Education noted that 50% of these teacher shortages are concentrated in the Greater Lisbon and Setúbal Peninsula areas.
