2027 public holidays: 3 long weekends and 4 'bridges'
In 2027, Portugal has 13 mandatory public holidays, with five falling on weekends. Key long weekends occur on 1 January (Friday), 26-28 March (Easter/Good Friday), and 1 November (Monday). Bridge opportunities exist for Corpus Christi (27 May, Thursday), Portugal Day (10 June, Thursday), and Republic Day (5 October, Tuesday).
Why it matters
If you are planning your vacation days for 2027, note that there are fewer automatic long weekends than usual, but you can create extra time off by taking single days during the identified 'bridge' periods in May, June, and October.ObservadorRead original ↗
