Week begins with opposing changes to petrol and diesel prices

Effective Monday, October 12, petrol prices increase by 4 cents per litre, while diesel prices decrease by 1 cent per litre. These adjustments reflect updated Government ISP tax discounts, which are now set at 7.80 cents per litre for petrol and 9.65 cents per litre for diesel to help mitigate international price volatility.

Why it mattersIf you drive, you will pay slightly more for petrol starting today, while diesel prices remain largely stable due to the slight reduction.
