Protesters sing songs of intervention in new protest in Évora

Protesters gathered in Praça do Giraldo in Évora on Sunday, 1 November, to demand housing rights, featuring songs and slogans. Organizers announced that the next protest is scheduled for Friday, 7 November, at 18:00.

Why it matters

While this is a local protest, it is part of a broader ongoing movement across Portugal demanding changes to rental laws and eviction policies; if you are looking for housing or tracking housing policy, future protests may be worth monitoring as they signal continued public and political pressure for legislative change.
