Parliament to discuss more flexible hiring rules for private school teachers
Two legislative proposals from the CDS-PP and IL parties, which would allow private and cooperative schools to hire teachers without current professional qualification requirements, have been moved to the parliamentary Education and Science committee for further discussion. The bills aim to prioritize professional experience in recruitment, but currently face significant opposition from other parliamentary parties, including the PSD, PS, PCP, JPP, and Livre, who argue the proposals lower educational standards.
