PS/Azores proposes monthly support for displaced university students
The Socialist parliamentary group in the Azores has proposed a 'regional housing supplement' for university students who must live away from home. The support would provide between 43 and 81 euros per month, depending on household income, for up to ten months per academic year.
Why it mattersThis is a proposal rather than a law, but if approved, it could provide financial aid to Azorean families whose students are studying on the mainland, between islands, or in other locations within their own island.
