Nine central and southern districts under yellow heat warning
IPMA has issued yellow warnings for high temperatures in multiple mainland districts. The warning covers Évora, Santarém, Setúbal, Lisbon, Leiria, Beja, Castelo Branco, Coimbra, and Portalegre from 10:00 on Saturday, September 12, until 17:00 on Sunday, September 13. Braga, Aveiro, Viana do Castelo, and Porto are also under yellow warning on Sunday, September 13, from 10:00 to 17:00.
Why it mattersIf you are in any of these districts, expect high temperatures that may pose health risks, so stay hydrated and avoid strenuous activities during the hottest hours of the weekend.
