Minister of Justice calls for 'common sense' in interpreting court ruling on protest camping
Justice Minister Rita Alarcão Júdice stated that the court decision allowing a protestor to camp in Lisbon's Rossio square applies legally only to the individual who filed the injunction, not as a general right for all protestors. While maintaining that court rulings must be respected, she called for balance and 'common sense' from both protestors and the government, noting that the court itself placed conditions on the occupation to ensure public safety and order.
