Government earmarks 109 million euros for school maintenance and works in 2027

The 2027 State Budget proposal allocates 109 million euros to the public entity 'Construção Pública' for the conservation and maintenance of 176 public schools and for the repayment of loans used for school construction. Currently, authorities are evaluating 151 urgent maintenance applications from schools, prioritized based on their state of degradation, projects under the PRR (Recovery and Resilience Plan), and damage caused by storm Kristin.
