Parishes to gain access to medium-term credit for public housing in 2027 State Budget

The National Association of Parishes (Anafre) reached an agreement with the Government regarding the 2027 State Budget (OE2027) that allows parishes to access medium-term credit for public housing projects, similar to municipal powers. The measure is currently being finalized in the legislative text to account for the varying capacities of different parishes. Additionally, the Fundo de Financiamento das Freguesias (FFF) will receive a 50-million-euro boost, representing a 20% increase over 2026 funding levels.
