Metro Transportes do Sul workers on strike today and Wednesday

Metro Transportes do Sul (MTS) workers are holding a total strike on Tuesday 20 October and Wednesday 21 October. From Thursday 22 October through 27 October, the strike will consist of work stoppages during the last two hours of each shift. Minimum services are guaranteed on Line 3 (Cacilhas/Universidade) between 07:00–09:00 and 17:00–19:00; passengers on Line 2 (Corroios/Pragal) must transfer at the 'Bento Gonçalves' stop to continue their journey via Lines 1 or 3.

Why it matters

If you use the Metro Transportes do Sul light rail in Almada or Seixal, expect severe service disruptions on 20 and 21 October, and reduced service during the final two hours of shifts until 27 October.
