"Mathematics will be mandatory from 10th to 12th grade": Government wants subject in all courses

The Minister of Education, Science and Innovation announced a plan to make Mathematics a mandatory subject for all secondary school students from 10th to 12th grade. The new curriculum framework is expected to enter into force in the 2028/2029 school year, with a public consultation on the plan scheduled before the end of 2026.
