"It's a disgrace and it's going to end": Moedas suspends shared e-scooter system in Lisbon

Lisbon Mayor Carlos Moedas has announced the suspension of the shared e-scooter system in the capital, citing issues with illegal parking and the retrieval of over 1,200 vehicles per month. Separately, the Assembly of the Republic approved on 1 October a bill that will make helmets and reflective clothing mandatory for e-scooter and e-bike riders, which is currently undergoing detailed review.
