The Iniciativa Liberal (IL) party is proposing legislation to make minimum services mandatory during school strikes that occur during the academic term. The stated goal is to protect students' academic progress, with a specific focus on the most vulnerable learners.
Why it mattersIf this proposal becomes law, it would guarantee that some level of schooling remains available during strikes, potentially reducing the disruption to your children's education; however, it remains a proposal at this stage and has not been voted on.
