Government invests 2 billion euros in public and affordable housing
The 2027 State Budget proposal allocates 2.003 billion euros toward increasing affordable and public housing. Of this, 1.071 billion euros is earmarked for IHRU public housing and rehabilitation projects, while 917 million euros is designated for rental support programs such as Porta 65+, Porta 65 Jovem, and PAER, along with tax benefits for affordable rentals.
