Government inks deal to bring Indonesians into fisheries sector

Portugal and Indonesia have signed a bilateral agreement allowing Indonesian nationals to work legally on Portuguese fishing vessels through the mutual recognition of maritime certificates. The deal permits vessel crews to be composed of Indonesian workers, excluding only the boat captain, to address labour shortages in the sector.
