Government increases ISP discount for diesel and reduces it for petrol

Following a government order published on Friday, September 11, the tax discount (ISP) will be adjusted next week: it increases by 0.109 cents per liter for diesel and decreases by 0.956 cents for petrol. Estimates from the Automóvel Club de Portugal (ACP) suggest that retail prices for diesel are expected to rise by four cents per liter, while petrol prices are expected to fall by six cents.

Why it mattersIf you drive, you should expect to pay about four cents more per liter for diesel and six cents less per liter for petrol starting next week, with final pump prices varying by location and brand.
